COACHES

    Coaches have been trained in the various topics in the RAI curriculum and the use of this program. They are available to assist whenever possible, answer your questions, or refer you to appropriate resources in the Capital District of New York.

    The coaches are listed below, along with areas they have worked in or are particularly knowledgeable about. As with all aspects of this program the coaching should never be considered as a substitute for medical advice or professional services and the information should not be used for diagnosing or treating a physical or mental health problem or a disease.

    • Karen Ziegler, LCSW-R, CASAC: Karen is the Director of the Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center in Albany (Module 3: Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse, Sexual Assault, Bias-Related Violence and other Trauma Issues)

    • Andrea Adams: Andrea is certified as an educator for Transgender issues (Gender and Identity: Module 2) and can help with HIV/AIDS healthcare concerns (Module 8) as they affect the Transgendered.

    • Ari Kane: Dr. Kane is a consultant and trainer on Social Health Issues working specifically in the area of aging (LGBT Agins Issues: Module 7) and Transgender concerns (Gender and Identity: Module 2).

    • Diana DeAvila: is a successful entrepeneur and computer 'geek' with first hand knowledge of Multiple Sclerosis.

    • Tandra LaGrone: is Executive Director of In Our own Voices, a Capital District organization devoted to the survival and growth of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people of color communities.

    • Frank Carson: is a training and development professional with extensive experience in HIV-related training and sexual diversity.

    • Bobbi Williams: Bobbi can help with questions about barriers to quality health care services (Module 1), Gender and Identity (Module 2), and LGBT aging issues (Module 7).
